The concept of having regular eye exams and dental checkups is almost unheard of in rural India. Consequently, detecting major medical problems in the early stages of development, such as diabetes and high blood pressure becomes a difficult task. The Organisation’s healthcare initiative addresses this problem as part of their eye and dental care programme.

So far 30 eye camps have been conducted in 140 villages and 68,800 patients have been treated for various eye problems. 363 cataract operations have been performed and 18,874 spectacles distributed for correction of visual acuity. The spectacles are subsided by the foundation. 

Dental Care

The Organisation conducts regular dental camps wherein the oral and dental status of the villagers is assesses. Minor procedures and tooth extraction are also undertaken at these camps. 

School Health

The Organisation’s school health programme covers children studying in our Modern schools. All the children from the adopted villages are examined once a year. Every year nearly 10,000 children are examined by a Organisation’s physician and treated for all minor ailments. Health records are created and maintained for all the children covering 35 parameters

The Organisation’s school health programme tries to provide comprehensive integrated health care services to school children.

The services provided to the students include :-

» Curative services
» Referral and follow up of cases
» Health education etc.
